The Yorkshire 3 Peaks

A 12 hour hike over Yorkshire's highest peaks

The Yorkshire 3 peak challenge is a famous hiking challenge around the Yorkshire Dales

The route consists of 25 miles of intensive hiking, including climbing up (and down), the three highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales: Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

In order to successfully complete the challenge, you have to visit the Pen-y-ghent Cafe and have a card time-stamped. If you return to the same cafe within 12 hours, you have succeded!

It will be quite a tough challenge for us as "strenuous exercise" for us usually consists of the staircase at Paddington tube station!
We have a few training days planned though and are ready to give it our best go!
