Did you know that Bulgaria is one of the poorest countrys in the EU, with an average salary of only 200 pounds a month?
This is particularly hard on Bulgarian charities, who, despite being in great demand, find it nearly impossible to raise enough money locally to keep operating.
This year, ThinkShield
is going to attempt the grueling "Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge"
in order to raise money for the Bulgarian orphanage, St Nicolas.
This amazing place has been running since 1988 and with the help of sponsors and volunteers
now houses 113 orphans. However due to problems raising funds, it is on the verge of closing.
